Football AI agency: AI agents for professional football clubs
Apelot is an AI agency dedicated to professional football clubs. We deploy AI agents connected to the club's tools (data platforms, video, GPS, internal files) that answer your staff's questions and take over repetitive tasks.
Projects run in four phases: assessment, prototype, deployment, then training and support. Each role at the club receives an agent configured for its work.
What an AI agency does for a football club
A professional club produces a lot of data: match events, tracking, GPS, medical data, video, contracts, schedules. It is spread across several platforms and files, and every analysis takes time.
An AI agency does not sell one more tool. It starts from the club's organisation, identifies the tasks that can be handed to AI agents, connects the existing data sources and supports the staff until the agents are part of their daily work.
- Identify priority use cases with each department.
- Connect data sources through official APIs, using the club's own subscriptions.
- Configure one agent per role, with the club's vocabulary.
- Define hosting, role-based access and usage caps.
- Train users, maintain the agents and add new connectors.
Why an AI agency specialised in football
The industry's tools
Wyscout, Hudl StatsBomb, Opta, SkillCorner, Catapult, STATSports, Kitman Labs, Teamworks AMS, Metrica Sports: the agents connect to the platforms your staff already use.
Football vocabulary
Positions, formations, phases of play, performance indicators: the agents are tuned to your club's vocabulary during the prototype.
The rhythm of a season
Congested fixtures, transfer windows, breaks: post-match reports are generated as soon as the match data is available.
Club constraints
Wage bill under financial regulations (DNCG in France, financial fair play), medical data, GDPR: hosting and access are set up accordingly.
Our 4-phase method
Phases 1 to 3 make up the setup, which is quote-based. Phase 4 is covered by a monthly subscription.
- Phase 11 to 2 weeks
Assessment & audit
Audit of tools and data flows (match data, GPS, medical, internal files), choice of priority use cases, roadmap based on the expected return on investment.
- Phase 23 to 4 weeks
Prototyping
A first agent connected to one or two sources, on one use case. Real-world tests with your staff, fine-tuning of answer accuracy and of the club's vocabulary.
- Phase 34 to 6 weeks
Deployment & integration
Connection to data platforms, GPS, the AMS and internal files. Agents and access configured for each department. Automation of post-match reports and alerts.
- Phase 4Ongoing
Training & support
Training for the coaching staff, the medical team and management. Maintenance of the agent orchestrator, supervision, security, new connectors and new features.
Departments we work with
Sporting direction & operations
Squad and playing-time tracking, wage bill scenarios over one to three seasons, press monitoring on players and transfer opportunities.
Coaching staff
Opponent trends, pre-match reports by position, post-match reports, team sheet.
Scouting & recruitment
Player search on event and tracking data, comparison with your starters, indicative market value, reports.
Medical & performance
Acute and chronic load from GPS data, alerts beyond the thresholds set by the medical team.
Logistics & kit
Travel, accommodation, group schedule, equipment forecasts for the first team and the academy.
Contracts, compliance & HR
Contract expiry tracking, drafting support with legal review by the club, reminders of regulatory obligations.
Hosting, access and costs
Data stays under the club's control: hosted on-premise on a club server, or in a cloud hosted in Europe, GDPR compliant.
Access is defined per user and per role (RBAC), according to the club's organisation. For example, the recruitment team has no access to medical data.
The club chooses the AI model. Usage is tracked per user, with caps. AI models, infrastructure and hardware are paid for by the club.
Pricing
Setup (phases 1 to 3: assessment, prototype, deployment) is quote-based. The quote depends on the scope defined during the assessment: departments, data sources, automations.
The monthly subscription (phase 4) covers training, maintenance of the agent orchestrator, support, new connectors and new features.
Frequently asked questions
What is a football AI agency?
An agency that designs and deploys artificial intelligence solutions for football clubs. Apelot deploys AI agents connected to the club's tools (match data, video, GPS, internal files), configured for each role, then trains the staff and maintains the agents.
How long does it take to deploy AI agents at a club?
The assessment takes 1 to 2 weeks, the prototype 3 to 4 weeks and the deployment 4 to 6 weeks. Your staff test a first agent in real conditions from the prototype phase onwards.
How much does a football AI agency cost?
At Apelot, setup is quote-based, then a monthly subscription covers training, maintenance and support. AI models, infrastructure and hardware are paid for by the club, which chooses its model and sets usage caps.
Do we need to change our tools to work with Apelot?
No. The agents connect to the platforms the club already uses, through the official API when the tool offers one, using the club's own subscriptions. A tool without an API can be used by the agent in a browser, with a dedicated account, in line with the tool's terms of use.
Do AI agents replace analysts or scouts?
No. The agents gather the data, run the comparisons and prepare the reports. Decisions stay with the staff: risk alerts, for example, go to the medical team, which decides.
Which clubs does Apelot work with?
Professional football clubs: first team, academy, sporting and administrative management. Organisations in other sports can also get in touch.
